Gluten-free Granola recipe & ingredients

Using high-quality ingredients is essential for any recipe. They elevate the flavor, texture, and overall experience of the dish. From fresh produce to premium spices, top-notch ingredients ensure a superior taste. Don’t compromise on quality—investing in the best ingredients will make your culinary creations truly exceptional.

  • Oats: preferably the coarse flakes, as they give the crispiest results.
  • Mixed unsalted nuts: give a deeper flavor to your granola. I always select a different combination each time, but almonds are basically always there. In this recipe I used almonds, walnuts and cashews.
  • Mixed kernels and seeds: as a healthy addition to oats and nuts, I like to add pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds to the mix.
  • Cinnamon: a real seasoning in this recipe.
  • Sunflower oil: makes it super crunchy.
  • Honey: gives a nice sweet taste, and makes some good crunchy chunks.

Gluten-free Granola with Oats, Nuts, and Seeds

  • Prep time: 5 minutes
  • Cook time: 15 minutes
  • Total time: 20 minutes
  • Serves: 1 jar (approx. 300 g)

Ingredients

  • 150 g gluten-free oats
  • 100 g mixed nuts, unsalted
  • 50 g mixed seeds
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Method

  • 1)

Preheat the oven to 180°C conventional heating (top-bottom heat).

  • 2)

Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

  • 3)

Bake the granola for 15-20 minutes at 180 °C, tossing the granola halfway through.

  • 4)

Leave to cool before putting the granola in a jar.

  • 5)
    • Tip #1: After cooling, you could add dried fruits, coconut flakes, chocolate chips or anything else you like.
    • Tip #2: The granola will last at least 2 weeks in a sealed jar. I prefer to use a large container that seals airtight. Ensure a tight seal to maintain the crunchiness for a longer duration.
