This homemade shawarma bread is unbelievably easy and ready in no time. Shawarma bread is also known as pita bread or naan flat bread. I prepared these flat breads in a pan but you could pop them into the oven as well.
Traditionally shawarma bread is filled with thin cuts of marinated with lamb, mutton or chicken. Nowadays shawarma may also be with turkey, beef, or veal. It’s served with chopped or shredded vegetables, pickles and assorted condiments.
For this recipe I used Schär Bread Mix B but you could also use another gluten-free flour blend.
