Gluten Free Lelystad, the Netherlands: A Complete Guide

Gluten Free Lelystad

Lelystad is a city in the centre of the Netherlands, and it is the capital of the province of Flevoland. It is located at the Markermeer and IJsselmeer and the nature park of Oostvaardersplassen. Lelystad is built on the seabed of the former Zuiderzee.

Lelystad’s main attractions are the Batavialand museum and the Luchtvaart Themapark Aviodrome museum. Batavialand’s centrepiece is a replica of a 17th-century Dutch merchant frigate, the Batavia. The Luchtvaart Themapark Aviodrome has a reception area designed like an airport check-in counter. The museum has 70 historic aircraft on display. Besides you can also play air-traffic controller in a re-created flight tower or watch aviation films in the mega-cinema.

Restaurant Club Port Side

Club Port Side is located in Lelystad Marina, directly on the main jetty. From here you have a beautiful view over the harbour.

I had a delicious roast potato filled with pulled pork, turmeric crème fraîche and seasonal vegetables. The staff was very friendly and well informed about gluten-free options and already informed me about gluten-free dinner options via telephone.

You will find Club Port Side on Oostvaardersdijk nº59e, Lelystad, The Netherlands.
