Gluten Free Hamburg, Germany: A Complete Guide
Food
Restaurants
Rudolph’s
Rudolph’s is an Italian restaurant in Hamburg serving pizza and pasta as well as regional and seasonal specialities. Rudolph’s attaches great importance to fresh, seasonal ingredients and, above all, homemade products – be it the pizza dough, the freshly baked ciabatta and focaccia or the gluten-free delicacies.
I have visited Rudolph’s several times so far and the pizzas were always super crisp and tasty. The gluten-free pizza at Rudolph’s is baked daily from scratch using their own dough-recipe. As a starter gluten-free bread was served with a dip as well as olives. Among other things I have tried the RUDOLPH’S pizza topped with grilled scampi, rocket, Parmesan, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes as well as the NAPOLI pizza topped with tomato, mozzarella, black olives, anchovies and capers.
You will find Rudolph’s on Poggenmühle nº5, Hamburg, Germany.
Isabella glutenfreie Pâtisserie (100% gluten-free)
I am a big fan of Isabella Glutenfreie Pâtisserie and there is also a location in Hamburg! Isabella Glutenfreie Pâtisserie is a chain and is located in Aachen, Düsseldorf (Oberkassel & Königsallee/Kö-Galerie), Hamburg, Cologne and Stuttgart.
I visited Isabella glutenfreie Pâtisserie in Aachen, read my review about it here.
Hamburg: You will find Isabella Glutenfreie Pâtisserie on Alte Oberpostdirektion, Stephansplatz nº1-3, Hamburg, Germany.
Recommendations
Underneath I have listed some restaurants which I haven’t visited yet, but are on my list! I got these reco’s from gluten-free friends, family and followers. As I said – I have not tested these gastronomies myself (so far) and cannot say anything about how it looks here with a possible cross-contamination and whether there is an understanding for celiac disease sufferers. Please do not take it as recommendations, but only as additional options. If you’ve visited any of the restaurants, or if you have another tip, feel free to write me about it in the comments!
